This interactive workshop provides small businesses with the tools and information needed to successfully engage with Metro. Learn about Metro’s Certification Programs (SBE & DVBE), the Small Business Program Initiative, the Contractor Development Bonding Program, and how to navigate the Metro Vendor Portal to access current and upcoming opportunities.

For this event, we are inviting Prime Contractors currently working on active Metro contracts based in the San Fernando Valley. This creates a valuable opportunity for small businesses to connect directly with project teams operating in their region, gain insight into upcoming Valley-based work, and begin building relationships that can lead to subcontracting opportunities.

This event is presented in collaboration with The Valley Economic Alliance, helping bring Metro resources directly to the Valley business community.

“Meet The Primes” is an interactive networking event designed to connect Prime Contractors with qualified small businesses seeking subcontracting opportunities.​

Prime Contractors are encouraged to come prepared to discuss their projects and available subcontracting prospects. Meanwhile, small and diverse businesses should prepare to engage with Prime Contractors and other small businesses to foster a vibrant and synergistic networking atmosphere.

This event aims to create meaningful connections and collaboration opportunities that can enhance business growth and development. Participants will have the chance to share insights, explore partnerships, and expand their networks in an engaging environment.

“Meet The Primes” is an opportunity to meet and network with the Prime Contractors who work on Metro projects. Come and take advantage of the access this event offers and get to know key representatives from prime contracting companies.

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) published an Interim Final Rule (IFR) amending regulations for the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Airport Concession DBE (ACDBE) programs (49 CFR Parts 23 and 26) on October 3, 2025.

As Metro continues to  review the IFR to identify necessary program and procedural changes to ensure full compliance, we will be hosting this virtual Informational Session to keep the DBE Program stakeholders and contracting community informed.
